Project Object!

Project Object! is a new project.  We are working on with 17 young people.  We are looking at textiles in museums and texture and patterns in clothes that we wear. We took the 17 young people to London and went to the museum up there and had a look round at textiles work up there and went into Harrods the dearest shop in London to get an idea of what money is spent and what different textures and patterns they have.

The young people will ask questions of what is valued in museums and why. They will look at what they would put in a museum and why. They will be inspired by objects from Bristol City Museum and the British Museum to create their own textile peices that reflect how they want to be represented and what they think should be highlighted for young visitors at the museum.
