Project Community Partners

Bristol Museum Service works with communties across its 5 current sites. In 2011 a new museum will open in Bristol – M Shed.

Local people from all parts of the city are getting involved in creating M Shed through our community projects.

Our projects are bringing local residents together in creative activities to explore the city and its people. In doing so they are creating lots of new material with a fresh take on what makes Bristol Bristol to contribute to M Shed’s displays.

About the venue - Bristol’s Museums, Galleries & Archives

Venue name

Bristol Museum, Galleries and Archives currently runs five sites in the city, and will soon be opening a sixth site, M Shed. M Shed will explore the city’s history from prehistoric times to the 21st century. Stories about the city and its people have been discovered through working with experts and communities across the city – a process that will continue for the life of the museum. Rich collections of objects, art and archives will also play an important part in bringing those stories to life.
