Talking Objects
In summer 2011, Colchester and Ipswich Museums ran two Talking Objects projects. The first of these was targeted as young people from fostering families and was developed in partnership with Essex Social Services and the Mercury Theatre. This project was based around the Gosbeck’s Mercury. The second project, based around two Roman tombstones, was openly advertised to 16 to 25 year olds and developed with Signals Media Arts.
Both projects were filmed by Signals Media Arts. These films are currently in post-production and will be uploaded to this website soon. They will also be displayed alongside the objects at Colchester Castle as part of the redisplayed exhibitions from 2014.
