My Heritage ID Workshop

The My Heritage ID workshop has now been delivered throughout June and July engaging 12-18 year olds with their own identity and the identity of the Romans who once lived along Hadrian’s Wall; through object handling and the use of the Hadrian’s Wall Gallery at the Great North Museum: Hancock.

Newcastle Young Archaeologists Club

The Newcastle Young Archaeologists Club visited the Great North Museum: Hancock on Saturday 19th June to take part in a ‘My Heritage ID’ session, handled some Roman objects and designed their own Roman games.

Explore! Your Roman ID Family Fun

A family fun event took place on Wednesday 18 August in the Explore! More Gallery at the Great North Museum: Hancock. Families were invited in to the gallery space to handle Roman objects related to various characters who once lived along Hadrian’s Wall. They then made their own ‘Identity Sheilds’ using images that related to their lives including food, hobbies and people.
