Talking Objects UK

Talking Objects is a project that asks young people to investigate museum objects by talking to curators, handling real objects, debating relevant issues and using drama, music, dance and visual arts to expand ideas about the significance of these objects for us today.

Originally developed by the British Museum, Talking Objects is soon to become a nationwide project and over the next three years will be delivered through the People & Place partnership programme. As demonstrated at the British Museum, the national Talking Objects project will aim to encourage greater numbers of young people across the UK to explore objects from partner institutions‘ diverse collections.

Information will be updated as the programme develops.
